He was recently ranked No. 1 on Institutional Investor magazine's list of Internet Analysts in Japan, and ranked No. 2 among software analysts by both Institutional Investor and the Nikkei Shimbun, Japan's top business newspaper. Mr. Negi won renown for his pioneering research in the Internet sector, especially for his September 1999 report,"Internet Tsunami," a 140-page reference guide to Japan's Internet industry. Negi started his career in the petroleum industry, and then moved to commercial banking before joining Merrill Lynch. He holds a Master's degree in Physics from Nagpur University in India in addition to his Master's degree in Management from the London Business School.
