Adventure Reality Television, Inc. is now taking applications for Alluvial TV, an internet-based reality TV show due to launch in November 2010 where contestants travel to the Amazon jungle in search of treasure. For 30 days, ten teams will search for alluvial diamonds and gold, battling for the grand prize of one million dollars. They will explore forgotten cultures and experience ancient customs while educating themselves and the viewing audience about the challenges, procedures and processes of mining for minerals.

Alluvial TV taps into the broad reach and the vast accessibility of the internet. Instead of being limited by who can make a casting, anyone anywhere in the world (as either an individual or a team of two) can submit a video application at alluvialtv.com. There is only a $25 application fee. Each applicant will be automatically entered into a contest to win either a colored diamond valued at $150,000 or a Toyota FJ Cruiser. In addition, every applicant will receive a free award-winning e-book on diamonds and a tree will be planted in their honor in the Amazon rain forest.

Once applicants upload their video, the Alluvial TV casting and production team will then choose the top 1,000 most qualified and dramatic. These videos will then be voted on by the public with the top 200 videos selected as finalists to enter the contest.

Applicants selected for the program will receive $10,000 and will be provided with and trained on mining equipment. Local guides will help the teams in their quest for treasure. The remote location in the Amazon, to be determined prior to filming, promises to provide its own obstacles. Contestants will battle not only other teams, but also wild terrain and challenges such as diving into piraña and crocodile infested waters.

Whether you submit an application or not, you can visit alluvialtv.com and sign up to receive free updates about this first of its kind contest. Viewers of the program will have a chance, at the program's conclusion, to purchase the equipment used and the alluvial diamonds and gold unearthed.
