The cabinet meeting on Tuesday, 19 June 2012 has come to the following decision:
The cabinet acknowledged draft regulation of the Prime Minister Office on Women Empowerment Funds (no. 2) B.E. 2555 which is the amended version of the former cabinet-approved one. The draft regulation was proposed by the Secretariat of the Prime Minister. After the cabinet’s approval, the regulation will be published in the government gazette.
The cabinet acknowledged and approved Ministry of Interior’s proposal, as follows:
1. Acknowledging the outcome of the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) on poverty alleviation held at Kathmandu, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal from January 15 to 16, 2012.
2. Acknowledging Kathmandu Statement on Poverty Alleviation and Plan of Action on Poverty Alleviation: PPA and officially informing the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and secretary of the ministerial meeting as well as senior officials working on poverty alleviation under the 2nd Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) on poverty alleviation.
The cabinet acknowledged in the principle of Ministry of Finance’s proposal and allowed persons in charge working in state-owned enterprises to amend private contract in the form of contract service if the private sector is affected from the rising minimum wage to the point that it cannot handle with the increasing cost.
The cabinet approved a relief effort provided to farmers producing rice in B.E. 2554/55. All farmers who receive the compensation money need to be qualified following the cabinet resolution which had approved additional money worth 550.389 Baht. The compensation money was distributed due to the cabinet resolution on February 7, 2012. In this regard, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives initiated and proposed the case; it also takes responsible for examining the accuracy and avoiding redundancy before distributing the compensation money to farmers.
According to the cabinet resolution on February 28, 2012; concerning budget distribution, the cabinet ordered the compensation be refunded to Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives under the interest rate of FDR+1.
The cabinet acknowledged and approved Office of the Public Sector Development Commission’s proposal, as follows:
1. Approving a request for additional financial support worth 6,835 million Baht under B.E. 2556 fiscal year so as to manage B.E. 2555 fiscal year’s reward for governmental agencies, provincial authority, and universities which had undertaken governmental affirmative and governmental affairs evaluation in B.E. 2555 fiscal year.
2. Approving in the principle to add reward and fringe benefit for executive administrators in the Draft Royal Decree on Fiscal Year Expense Budget.
