The Cabinet approved Thai Public Sector Development Strategic Plan (B.E. 2556-2561) following the suggestion of the Office of Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) and assigned all public agencies and government organizations to adopt the Thai Public Sector Development Strategic Plan (B.E. 2556-2561) as framework for their operations.

The Cabinet acknowledged the report on people’s complaints for the 1st quarter of fiscal year B.E. 2556 made by Office of the Permanent Secretary (OPM).
Gist
The Office of the Permanent Secretary processed the statistic regarding complaints and actions taken for the complaints petitioned to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Ministers Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office during the 1st quarter of fiscal year B.E. 2556.
1. There were 26,875 complaints received via hotline 1111 (4 channels) during the 1st quarter of fiscal year B.E. 2556.

The Cabinet acknowledged and agreed with the proposals made by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) as follows:
1. Acknowledged the results of the 19th Mekong River Commission Meeting
2. Approved the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment’s co-hosting of the 20th Mekong River Commission Meeting with Mekong River Commission Secretariat between October and November 2013 in Chiang Mai following the suggestion made by Deputy Prime Minister Prodprasob Surasawadi.
As for the budget to host this event, Department of Water Resources is to disburse from the budget of fiscal year B.E. 2557 following the Bureau of Budget’s suggestion.
The Cabinet agreed and approved following the suggestions from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
1. Agreed with the draft MOU between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of Mongolia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to add “Years” in the English written MOU and “Two” in the first line of Article 5 before signing.
2. Approved the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs or an authorized official to sign the mentioned MOU.
3. Should the necessity arises to amend wording of the aforementioned MOU in the unessential parts that will not result in the country’s loss of benefit, the Ministry of Foreign Affair may proceed without further request for the Cabinet’s consideration.
The Cabinet agreed and approved the following suggestions from Ministry of Industry.
1. Agreed with the nomination of M.R. Pongsvas Svasti as a candidate for the election of Director-General of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), officially supported by the Thai Government.
2. Approved the Ministry of Industry’ to proceed with the nomination of M.R. Pongsvas Svasti as a candidate for the Director-General of UNIDO, officially supported by the Thai Government.
3. Assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate the support of M.R. Pongsvas Svasti to be elected for the position of Director-General of UNIDO.
