Following suggestions from Ministry of Labor, the Cabinet acknowledged announcement of Central Wage Committee titled “Skill standard wage rates (No.4)”, dated February 13, 2014, and approved its announcement in the Royal Thai Government Gazette. The Announcement will become effective after 90 days of publication in the Royal Thai Government Gazette.

Following suggestion from Ministry of Finance, the Cabinet agreed with draft ministerial announcement on excise tax reduction (No. ...) which extends excise tax reduction period for diesel oil for another month from May 1-31, 2014, and agreed with the implementation of the above announcement after an approval of the Election Commission.
Ministry of Finance suggested that as Government policy to reduce excise tax will expire on April 30, 2014 and retail price of oil is still high, increase of excise tax rate for diesel oil will, therefore, become burdensome on people’s expenses. To reduce people’s expenses, this announcement will make one month extension of excise tax reduction period for diesel oil containing sulfur content less than 0.005 per cent, in the rate of 0.005 baht per liter, and for diesel oil containing fatty acid methyl esters typed biodiesel content no less than 4 per cent, in the rate of 0.005 baht per liter, from May 1-31, 2014.
Following suggestion from Ministry of Energy, the Cabinet agreed with the followings:
1. Appointment of following 9 Selection Committee members for Energy Regulatory Commission: 1) Mr. Cherdpong Siriwit, former Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Energy, 2) Mr. Supachai Pisitvanit, former Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Finance, 3) Mr. Damri Sukhothanung, former Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Industry, 4) Mr. Ampon Kittiampon, former Secretary General to Office of National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), 5) Mr. Payungsak Chartsuthipol, representation of Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), 6) Mr. Amorn Pimanmas, representative of Council of Engineers, 7) Mr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai, representative of deans of governmental universities, 8) Mr.Kittiratana Mungkalakeeree, representative of National Economic and Social Advisory Council (NESAC), and 9) Mr. Sunthorn Subtuntikul, representative of non-profit organizations.
2. Compensation and other expenses related to the work of the Selection Committee will be determined in accordance with the Royal Decree on Committee Meeting Allowance B.E. 2547, Royal Decree on Traveling Expenses B.E. 2526 amended further by Royal Decree on Traveling Expenses (No. 6) B.E. 2541, and Ministry of Finance Regulation on Disbursement of Traveling Expenses B.E. 2550 and Regulation No. 2 B.E. 2554.
As proposed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cabinet approved according to the report of the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur that the Government of Bosnia-Herzegovina requested to appoint Mr. Tarik Bukvic as new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia-Herzegovina to Thailand, whose residence is in Kuala Lumpur, succeeding Mr. Ensar Eminovic.
Following suggestion from Ministry of Industry, the Cabinet approved appointment of Deputy Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Commerce Urawee Ngowroongrueng as representative of Ministry of Commerce in the Fund Management Commission under Cane and Sugar Act of B.E. 2527. She will replace Mr. Boonnaris Suwannapool, who is now retired.
