Approval cancellation of New Business Fund with 1,300 million worth of budget reallocated for SMEs Promotion Action Plan 2015-2016 in accordance with the resolution of Committee to Promote SMEs. (Ad Hoc). Since New Business Fund Project has concluded within 30 September 2014 and the SMEs Committee has placed the most important focus of the SMEs promotion as the nation agenda. The Prime Minister, as the Chairman of the Committee to Promote SMEs, therefore agreed to terminate the New Business Fund project and reallocated 1,300 million baht of budget to support the implementations in line with the SMEs Promotion Measures under the SMEs Promotion Action Plan 2015-2016 especially in 12 business in SMEs High Growth Sectors and 7 business in High Impact Sectors instead.
Acknowledgement the current situation of Human trafficking and Thailand’s protection and suppression human trafficking as proposed by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. Thailand has been considered as hub of the region with the high economic growth. The flow of workers migration are both legal and illegal travelling. The human trafficking found in Thailand are mostly in form of the sexual exploitation, labour abused in working places and service industry or being forced to be a beggar. However, Thailand has determined to continually protect and suppress the human trafficking in line with the international standard by enforcing law and order, providing protection and assistances for both Thai and alien victims and integrating all kinds of cooperation between private organization and civil society. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security as the core office has conducted the Emergency Action Plan. The National Committee has been chaired by the Prime Minister. The Ministry also set up the War Room for Human Trafficking Protection and Suppression which Minister as Head of the Center and member are the representatives from relevant Government agencies. The War Room is aimed to integrate the command cooperation and coordination to ensure the swift and prudent implementation. Emergency Work shop concerning prosecution, labor in fishing and detention illegal migrant relating human trafficking has been organizing and the annual report has been distributed to all sectors for their acknowledgment.
Approval ASEAN Joint Statement on Climate Change 2014 and designating Minister of Natural Resources and Environment or his representative to sign on. ASEAN member agree to encourage the carbon reduction and preparation for Climate change and commit to develop renewable energy. ASEAN also support Warsaw framework of Reducing Emission from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) and focus on sustainable forest management throughout the region to alleviate the mire effect of climate change and in increase the economic opportunity for local community. The role of addressing of climate change should be promoted at all level from local to nation and international community.
Approval of draft MOU between Thailand and Cambodia on Bilateral Cooperation for Eliminating Trafficking in Children and Women and Assisting of Victims of Trafficking and designating Minister of Social development and Human Security to sing MOU. The objective of MOU is to strengthen bilateral cooperation to protect and suppress the human trafficking and promote the relationship between two countries. The MOU is concerning the protection and suppression which involved the legal amendment and the use of appropriate measures, protection of victims of trafficking, sending back to their original country and returning victims to society.
