Approval of draft ASEAN Ministerial Joint Statement on Environment and approval of draft Gangwon Declaration on Biological Diversity for Sustainable Development for the Twelfth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP12), the Biological Diversity Summit during 15-16 October, 2014, as proposed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The ASEAN Ministerial Joint Statement on Environment aims to demonstrate political will to realize biological diversity in the ASEAN region that would subsequently promote economy growth, political foundation, well-being and socio-cultural paradigms, whilst strengthening international cooperation. The draft Gangwon Declaration on Biological Diversity for Sustainable Development focuses on the purpose of Biological Diversity Convention, essential element of Biological Diversity and sustainable development, as well as, an implementation of strategy/plan on Biological Diversity 2011-2020.s
Acknowledgement of the Order of the Prime Minister’s Office #113/2557: Appointment of the Committee to Steer forward Government's Policy According that General Prayut Chan-O-Cha delivered the government's policy statement, emphasizing on improving sustainable economic development, social and political aspects, supporting national reform to design and lay a solid foundation on the long term for the country. In order for the implementation of the policy to be practical and have a fruitful outcome, the Prime Minister has set up a committee to steer forward the government's policy. The Committee to Steer forward Government's Policy’s responsibilities are 1) to mobilize and push forward the government’s policy with government agencies and related agencies. 2) to give advice and opinion to the Council of Ministers with regards to solving problems while proceeding with the government policies. 3) to follow and assess results from implementinggovernment policies and submit reports to the Council of Ministers every month. 4) to issue a final report on results from implementing government policies 5) to appoint a sub-committee and working group as necessary 6) to coordinate with the government sector,state enterprises, and relevant agencies in forwarding documents and evidence or provide useful information for the administrating committee 7) other tasks as assigned by the Prime Minister or Cabinet
An approval by principle that political appointments and vice ministers shall not have a conflict of interest as proposed by the Secretariat of the Cabinet. The aim is to strengthen a good governance government and prevent any level of corruption. By principle,political appointments and vice ministers must not be appointed to board committees or advisory committees of any public enterprise, public company or other public organizations, however, position in governmental committee is acceptable. Moreover political appointments and assistant ministers must not be a contract party or have any conflict of interest with any public enterprise, public company or other public organizations. This principle will be effective within 15 days after released.
