Raise of salary for government officers
Approval in principle was given to the draft law on salary raise for ordinary civil servants, military officers, enlisted soldiers and students under the Ministry of Defence, police officers, teachers and education personnel, ordinary parliament officers, and civil servants in higher education institutions, effective from December 1, 2014.
The salary adjustment would cover around 1.98 million civil servants and government officers of different types, namely ordinary civil servants, military officers, enlisted soldiers and students under the Ministry of Defence, police officers, teachers and education personnel, ordinary parliament officers, and government employees. Also entitled to the raise were civil servants and officers of independent agencies and other organizations stated in the Constitution, namely the Office of the Auditor General, Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Office of the Constitutional Court, the Courts of Justice, the Administrative Court, and the Office of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand. The Bureau of the Budget had allocated budget for this implementation.
Cut on corporate income tax for small and medium enterprises
The Cabinet approved reduction on corporate income tax for companies or registered partnerships having no more than five million baht in paid-up capital as of the last day of the accounting period. The companies or registered partnerships must earn no more than 30 million baht in revenues from sales of goods and services in the accounting period for the net profit range of over 1,000,000 baht but no more than 3,000,000 baht. Corporate income tax was reduced from 20% to 15% as proposed by the Ministry of Finance in order to enhance competitiveness among SMEs.
Remembrance ceremony for 10th anniversary of tsunami in Indian Ocean
The Cabinet was reported on the organizing of a remembrance ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Indian Ocean tsunami as proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The remembrance ceremony would take place at the Tsunami Memorial, Police Boat T. 813, Tambon Khuk Khak, Takua Pa District, Phang Nga province on December 26, 2014, at 1700-1815hrs. Both Thai and foreign guests would be invited, namely Thai and foreign relatives of the deceased, diplomatic corps in Thailand, those having experience with the tsunami or having helped victims of the tsunami, high-ranking delegates from countries with high death toll, and delegates from related international organizations. On December 27, 2014, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would organize an activity for foreign delegates, diplomatic corps, and delegates from interested foreign organizations based in Thailand to visit communities having prototype models for anti-disasters and those known for successful application of Sufficiency Economy in Phang Nga Province.
ASEAN Plus Three Health Ministers’ Special Meeting on Ebola Preparedness and Response
The Ministry of Public Health, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, would host the “ASEAN Plus Three Health Ministers’ Special Meeting on Ebola Preparedness and Response” during December 14-15, 2014, at Royal Orchid Sheraton, Bangkok. On December 14, 2014, the meeting would be held for senior officers. On December 15, 2014, a ministerial meeting would be held. The Cabinet approved the proposals submitted to by the Ministry of Public Health as follows:
1. The Cabinet approved a mutual statement of the ASEAN Plus Three Health Ministers’ Special Meeting on Ebola Preparedness and Response. The Ministry of Public Health was authorized to consider amendment of trivial statement wordings or content without having to obtain Cabinet’s approval
2. The Cabinet approved the Minister of Public Health or his delegate to acknowledge the statement.

The Cabinet approved the proposals submitted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment as follows:
