The Cabinet approved the draft regulation of the Office of the Prime Minister on National Policy Committee for Forestry, B.E...., as proposed by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Draft Regulation of the Office of the Prime Minister on National Policy Committee on Forestry stipulated establishment of the National Policy Committee on Forestry to set and mobilize national forestry policy, and setting up of Office of the National Policy Committee on Forestry under the Royal Forest Department.
The Cabinet approved in principle draft announcement of the Ministry of Commerce on prohibition of arms and ammunition ordinance export to Central African Republic, B.E...., as proposed by Ministry of Commerce.
Gist of the Draft Announcement of Ministry of Commerce on prohibition of arms and ammunition ordinance export to Central African Republic, B.E.... is to regulate prohibition of arms and ammunition ordinance export to Central African Republic in accordance with the United Nations Security Council’s Resolution 2339 (2017) on one-year renewal of measures on arms, transport, finance and travel against the Central African Republic until January 31, 2018.
The Cabinet approved proposals made by Ministry of Foreign Affairs as follows:
1. Approved Exchange of Notes between Thailand and the United Nations for the 2017 United Nations Regional Course in International Law to be held during November 20 – December 15, 2017 in Bangkok.
2. H.E. Mr. Virachai Plasai, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Nations, is authorized as signatory on behalf of Thailand. Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to issue a Full Power to the signatory.
3. Should there be any amendment, if not affecting the gist of the documents, Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to proceed without any further approval.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that cooperation with the United Nations on training management would be beneficial to Thai officials in the field of international law in order for them to exchange experiences and promote networking with international lawyers from other countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Organizing Nations Regional Course in International Law and cooperating with the United Nations will enhance Thailand's image at the international stage. The event will be held during November 20 – December 15, 2017 in Bangkok.
The objective is to provide training for people from the Asia-Pacific region who have background and experiences in international law. Selection of participants will be conducted by the United Nations. There will be no more than 30 participants, 5 of whom will be from Thailand, selected to participate in the training.
