The Cabinet met on Monday, November 26, 2018, at the Government House. Some of the resolutions are as follows:
Title: Request for approval of development project of the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty The King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5th December, B.E. 2550 (Zone C- Extension phase) to be implemented by Dhanarak Asset Development Co,Ltd.
1. Approved in principle the development project of the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty The King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5th December, B.E. 2550 (Zone C- Extension phase) to be implemented by Dhanarak Asset Development Co,Ltd., as proposed by Ministry of Finance, for the total investment budget of 30 billion Baht.
2. Ministry of Finance is to take opinions of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Budget Bureau, Nationnal Heath Security Office, SMEs Office, and Office of the Administration Court into consideration.
The cabinet acknowledged and approved the following proposals made by Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives:
1. Acknowledged outcome of the 6th Global Soil Partnership Plenary Assembly (GSP PA)
2. Approved in principle establishment of Center of Excellence for Soil Research in Asia (CESRA) and the World Soil Day Award.
Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives reported that Permanent Secretary to the Ministry (Lertviroj Kowattana) was assigned as chief of the Thai delegation to attend the 6th Global Soil Partnership Plenary Assembly (GSP PA) and associated meetings during June 11-13, 2018 in Rome, Republic of Italy. One of the resolutions made at the meeting was the establishment of Center of Excellence for Soil Research in Asia (CESRA) and the World Soil Day Award (under name: “King Bhumibol World Soil Day Award”) to commemorate World Soil Day. The King Bhumibol World Soil Day Award will be bestowed to individuals, organizations, and countries whose exceptional effort excels in promoting and creating awareness on soil management for sustainable food security. Budget of the two activities for FY2019 has been allocated under Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives’ annual budget.
The cabinet approved the following proposals made by Ministry of Science and Technology:
1. Approved signing of draft MOU on science, technology, and innovation cooperation between Ministry of Science and Technology of the Kingdom of Thailand and National Research Council Canada (NRC).
2. Approved Minister of Science and Technology as signatory of the MOU.
Should there be an amendment in parts that are not gist nor against the principle approved by the cabinet Ministry of Science and Technology is authorized to proceed and report to the cabinet later of the change.
Areas of cooperation include:
1) food science and technology,
2) renewable and alternative energy,
3) rail technology and industrial research,
4) human healings and medical equipment,
5) material science and technology,
6) biotechnology,
7) scientific standards and scales, and
8) other areas of cooperation.
The cabinet approved the following proposals made by Ministry of Digital Economy and Society:
1. Approved Ubud Declaration, and Framework on Digital Data Governance to be endorsed at the 18th ASEAN Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministers Meeting (TELMIN)
2. Approved for Minister of Digital Economy and Society or a representative to endorse the documents.

The 18th ASEAN Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministers Meeting (TELMIN) and 19th ASEAN Telecommunications and Information Technology Senior Officials Meeting (TELSOM), and associated meetings will be held during December 3-6, 2018 in Ubud, Republic of Indonesia.
