The cabinet met on June 30, 2020 at the Government House. Some of the resolutions are as follows:

Title: Draft Royal Decrees on survey areas for land consolidation

The cabinet approved 5 draft Royal Decrees on survey areas for land consolidation as follows:

1. Draft Royal Decrees on survey areas for land consolidation in Hae Tai, Yangnoi, Hua Kwang, and Lerng Tai subdistricts, Kosumphisai district, Mahasarakham province, B.E. …

2. Draft Royal Decrees on survey areas for land consolidation in Sa Yai Som subdistrict, U-Thong district, Suphanburi province, B.E. …

3. Draft Royal Decrees on survey areas for land consolidation in Hua Khao subdistrict, Derm Bang Nang Buad district, Suphanburi province, B.E. …

4. Draft Royal Decrees on survey areas for land consolidation in Nong Mae Kai, Kham Yad, Thang Phra subdistricts, Pho Thong district, Angthong province, B.E. …

The 5 Royal Decrees are aimed to promote the nation’s agricultural sector, and inhance farmers’ revenue and quality of life.

Title: Nomination of Khao Sok National Park, and Tham Luang - Khun Nam Nang Non National Park as ASEAN Heritage Park (AHP)

The cabinet approved nomination Khao Sok National Park, and Tham Luang - Khun Nam Nang Non National Park as ASEAN Heritage Park (AHP), as proposed by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Khao Sok National Park is in Surat Thani province, and Tham Luang - Khun Nam Nang Non National Park, Chiang Rai province. The nomination of the two national parks as ASEAN Heritage Park will help maintain identity and biodiversity of the parks in accordance with the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Title: (Draft) 4th National Human Rights Plan (2019-2022)

The cabinet approved the following proposals of Ministry of Justice (Rights and Liberties Protection Department):

1. Approved for the draft 4th National Human Rights Plan (2019-2022) to take effect.

2. Approved for concerned agencies, list of which is stipulated in the Plan, to translate the Plan into action.

3. Approved for concerned agencies, mentioned above, submit an implementation progress report once a year according to the guideline to be set by Ministry of Justice.

Gist

The draft 4th National Human Rights Plan (2019-2022) is aimed to address violation of human rights in the big picture, and promote and protect human rights in Thailand on par with the international standard.

The 4th National Human Rights Plan identifies 10 human rights dimensions and 12 target groups as follows:

1) A Human Rights Plan on Judicial Process;

2) A Human Rights Plan on Education;

3) A Human Rights Plan on Natural Resources and the Environment;

4) A Human Rights Plan on Economic Rights;

5) A Human Rights Plan on Transportation;

6) A Human Rights Plan on Public Health

7) A Human Rights Plan on Data, Information, Information Technology, and Communication;

8) A Human Rights Plan on Politics, National Administration, and Security;

9) A Human Rights Plan on Housing;

10) A Human Rights Plan on Cultural Rights and Rights concerning Religion

The 12 target groups below are identified in the 4th National Human Rights Plan:

(1) A Human Rights Plan on the Children and Youth

(2) A Human Rights Plan on Human Rights Activists

(3) A Human Rights Plan on Accused Persons/Persons Deprived of Liberty

(4) A Human Rights Plan on Former Inmates/Person Release of Detention

(5) A Human Rights Plan for Older Persons

(6) A Human Rights Plan on Persons with Disabilities

(7) A Human Rights Plan on Stateless Persons, Ethnic Groups, and Asylum- Seekers or Displaced Persons

(8) A Human Rights Plan on Person with Different Sexual Orientation / Gender Identities

(9) A Human Rights Plan on drug addicts and individuals who have undergone rehabilitation treatments for drug addiction, Persons Living with HIV/AIDS

(10) A Human Rights Plan for Women

(11) A Human Rights Plan on Farmers

(12) A Human Rights Plan on Victims and Injured Persons, and witnesses
