The cabinet met on September 1, 2020 at the Government House. Some of the resolutions are as follows:
The cabinet acknowledged the report on outcome of the 23rd Meeting of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC Council), held via a teleconference on June 23, 2020, as proposed by Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
The following resolutions have been agreed upon at the 23rd Meeting of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC Council):
1. Endorsing ASEAN chairmanship of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under the overarching theme “Cohesive and Responsive”.
2. Adopting joint statement for the 23rd Meeting of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC Council), and approved 3 documents to be proposed to the ASEAN leaders at the 36th ASEAN Summit:
1) For approval- ASEAN Declaration on Human Resources Development for The Changing World of Work,
2) For acknowledgement- Term of Reference of the ASEAN TVET Council, and Report on the 23rd Meeting of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC Council) to be submitted to ASEAN Leaders at the 36th ASEAN Summit.
3. Acknowledging Mid-Term Review of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Blueprint (MTR) to be submitted submitted to ASEAN Leaders at the 36th ASEAN Summit.
4. Acknowledging a progress report of the Senior Officials Committee for the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (SOCA)
The 24th Meeting of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC Council) will be held in October 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, or via a teleconference
