The cabinet met on December 29, 2020 at the Government House. Some of the resolutions are as follows:
The cabinet approved in principle, the draft Royal Decree on reduction offee for limited partnership and company limited in special development zone, B.E. ?, as proposed by Ministry of Commerce.
The draft Royal Decree on reduction offee for limited partnership and company limited in special development zone, B.E. ?, prescribes exemption and reduction by half of registration fee, and other related fees for limited partnership and company limited whose headquarters are located in Narathiwat, Pattani, Satun, and Yala provinces, and Chana, Thepha, Na thawee, and Saba Yoi districts of Songkhla province. The extension has been granted for 3 years from Janaury 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023.
This is expected to help stimulate investment and economy in the above Southern border provinces.
The cabinet approved the following proposals made by the Cabinet Secretariat:
1. Additional public holidays and local holidays for the year 2021:
a. Approved February 12 (Fri), April 12 (Mon), July 27 (Tue), and September 24 (Fri) as additional public holidays for the year 2021, as a special case
b. Approved local holidays to coincide with local festivals/traditions: March 26 (Northern region), May 10 (Northereastern region), October 6 (Southern region), and October 21 (Central region)
2. Moving of Chulalongkorn Memorial Day substitution from October 25 (Mon) to October 22 (Fri), 2021.
3. Should the above additional holidays affect public services/appointments, heads of concerned public agencies shall make their own decision on observation of those holidays as they deem appropriate.
4. State enterprises, financial institutions, and the private sector shall make their own decision on observation of those holidays as they deem appropriate.
5. Ministry of Tourism and Sports is assigned as main agency to work together with other concerned agencies and sectors in laying out measures and plans to stimulate domestic tourism and consumption during the additional public holidays.
The cabinet approved the draft ASEAN-China Strategy and Action Plan on Environmental Cooperation 2021-2025, and the draft ASEAN-China Concept Note on Sustainable Development Cooperation Year (2021). Minister of Natural Resources and Environment or a representative has been assigned to endorse the two documents. Should there be an amendment in parts that are not gist nor against national interests, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment may proceed without having to resubmit to the cabinet.
