The cabinet met via a video conference on April 27, 2021. Some of the resolutions are as follows:
The cabinet approved in principle the draft Ministerial Regulation prescribing state agency eligible for the request of administration actions from judicial officers (No. ?), B.E. ?, as proposed by Ministry of Justice.
The draft Ministerial Regulation prescribes Thailand Institute of Justice (Public Organization) as state agency eligible for the request of administration actions from judicial officers in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, B.E. 2539 (1996).
The cabinet approved in principle the draft Ministerial Regulation on Thai Industrial Standard for low-carbon wire rods, B.E. ?, as proposed by Ministry of Industry.
The draft Ministerial Regulation on Thai Industrial Standard for low-carbon wire rods, B.E. ?, prescribes Thai Industrial Standard for low-carbon wire rods under TIS 348-2559 (2016), in accordance with the Ministerial Announcement No. 5987 (B.E. 2563), dated October 28, 2020 and issued under the Industrial Product Standards Act B.E. 2511, on Withdrawal and Prescription of Thai Industrial Standard for Low-Carbon Wire Rods.
The cabinet approved in principle the draft Ministerial Regulation on Thai Industrial Standard for Hot-Rolled Flat Steel for Welded Structure, B.E. ?, as proposed by Ministry of Industry.
The draft Ministerial Regulation on Thai Industrial Standard for low-carbon wire rods, B.E. ?, prescribes Thai Industrial Standard for low-carbon wire rods under TIS 1499-2563 (2020), in accordance with the Ministerial Announcement No. 5720 (B.E. 2563), dated April 1, 2020 and issued under the Industrial Product Standards Act B.E. 2511, on Withdrawal of Thai Industrial Standard for Hot -rolled carbon steel coil strip plate and sheet for Welded Structure and Prescription of Thai Industrial Standard for Hot-Rolled Flat Steel for Welded Structure.
The cabinet approved the scope and conservation and development guideline for Uthai Thani Old Town, Trang Old Town, and Chachoengsao Old Town, as proposed by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Committee for the Conservation and Development of Rattanakosin Island, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon, in its meeting on January 18, 2021, approved the new 3 old town areas, namely, Uthai Thani Old Town, Trang Old Town, and Chachoengsao Old Town, and conservation and development guideline for major areas of the 3 Old Towns.
The Uthai Thani Old Town covers the area of 1.69 square kilometers (1,058.87 Rai), Trang Old Town, 1.91 square kilometers (1,192.95 Rai), and Chachoengsao Old Town, 3.96 square kilometers (2,475.69 Rai).
The cabinet approved the request for FY2021 budget (central budget) for expenditure related to mitigation, resolution, and remedy of COVID-19-affected people: acquisition of additional 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, for the total amount of 321,604,000 Baht. The vaccines will be procured from Sinovac Biotech during May 2021.
The cabinet approved in principle on Thailand?s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, to be held during April 13- October 13, 2025 in Osaka, Japan. Ministry of Public Health was assigned as the core agency on the matter, and must submit plan and budget detail later for the cabinet?s consideration. This is as proposed by Ministry of Commerce.
The Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai has been registered as World Expo, and will be held under theme ?Designing Future Society for Our Lives? to hightlight promotion of technology and innovation for health and medical care for happy and healthy life. The theme is categorized into 3 sub-themes: 1) Saving Lives, 2) Empowering Lives, and 3) Connecting Lives
The cabinet approved in principle the draft Joint Statement of the 24th ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers? and Central Bank Governors? Meeting. Should there be an amendment in parts that are not gist nor against national interest, Ministry of Finance may proceed without having to resubmit to the cabinet. Minister of Finance or a representative is authorized to adopt the Joint Statement with the counterparts of ASEAN+3 member countries. This is as proposed by Ministry of Finance.
The draft Joint Statement of the 24th ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers? and Central Bank Governors? Meeting prescribes issues regarding regional economic development and trend, and responses to COVID-19 pandemic. Progress of financial and economic cooperation under the ASEAN+3 farmework has also been discussed, including Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation (CMIM), ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), Asian Bond Markets Initiative (ABMI), and financial cooperation strategic direction under ASEAN+3 framework.
