The cabinet approved the request for the FY2021 contingency fund for emergency (central budget), for the total budget of 350,000,000 Baht to be provided to Consumer Organization Council as seed funding. This is as proposed by Office of the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister?s Office.
Consumer Organization Council has been established in accordance with the Consumer Organization Council Establishment Act, B.E. 2562. The seed money will be used during the fiscal year 2021. ?? Title: Report on the Industrial Economics Status in Q4/2020 and Outlook for Q1/2021
The cabinet acknowledged Industrial Economic Report for February 2021 as proposed by Ministry of Industry.
Based on the report, manufacturing production index (MPI) contracted by 1.1% YOY due to the latest phase of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Key industries that contributed to the contractionwere refined petroleum production, textile and wearing apparel industry, and beer production.
Key industries that have expanded well in February 2021 were manufacture of sugar, and manufacture of electrical equipment.
The cabinet approved the postponement of Thailand?s hosting of 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games from 2021 to 2022, as proposed by Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
Olympic Council of Asia has notified Ministry of Tourism and Sports on the postponement of Thailand?s hosting of 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games from 2021 to 2022 due to the pandemic that has impacted countries throughout the world. The Ministry, therefore, proposed the postponement to the cabinet for its approval.
The cabinet approved the draft ASEAN Regional Action Plan for Combating Marine Debris 2021 ?2025, and approved for Minister of Natural Resource and Environment or a representative to adopt the draft Action Plan on behalf of Thailand. Should there be an amendment in parts that are not gist nor against national interest, Ministry ofNatural Resource and Environment may proceed without having to resubmit to the cabinet.
Department of Marine and Coastal Resources has been funded by PROBLUE, under the endorsement of World Bank, to implementactivities under the ASEAN Framework of Action on Marine Debris.
The draft ASEAN Regional Action Plan for Combating Marine Debris 2021 ? 2025 consists of the following 4 components: (1) Component I: Policy Support and Planning (2) Component II: Research, Innovation, and Capacity Building (3) Component III: Public Awareness, Education, and Outreach (4) Component IV: Private Sector Engagement.
