The cabinet met on April 5, 2022. Some of the resolutions are as follows:
The cabinet approved in principle the Royal Decree issued under the Revenue Code Regarding Exemption from Revenue Taxes (No. ?) B.E. ? (Extension of tax measure to promote biodegradable plastic products), as proposed by Ministry of Finance.
In a bid to continue to encourage purchase of biodegradable plastic products as a replacement of non-biodegradable plastics among business operators, Ministry of Finance proposed an extension of the Royal Decree issued under the Revenue Code Regarding Exemption from Revenue Taxes (No. ?) B.E. ? (Extension of tax measure to promote biodegradable plastic products) for another 3 years from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024.
The cabinet approved in principle the draft Prime Minister?s Office Regulation on revocation of Prime Minister?s Office Regulation on Solutions to public land encroachment, B.E. 2545, B.E. ?, as proposed by Office of the National Land Policy Board.
Revocation of Prime Minister?s Office Regulation on solutions to public land encroachment, B.E. 2545 will nullify the Committee on public land encroachment solution. The duty of seeking solutions to public land encroachment will also be transferred to 2 sub-committees for national land policy which have recently been set up.
The Cabinet approved in principle the Draft Royal Decree on convocation of first ordinary session of the National Assembly, B.E. ?, as proposed by the Cabinet Secretariat.
According to Section 121 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, each year there shall be two ordinary sessions of the National Assembly, each of which shall last 120 days. The day on which the first sitting is held shall be considered the commencement date of the first annual ordinary session, and the commencement date of the second annual ordinary session shall be fixed by the House of Representatives.
In light of the above, the convocation and prorogation dates of the National Assembly are set as follows:

It is, therefore, appropriate for the first annual ordinary session of the National Assembly to be prorogued from May 22, 2022 (2565) onward.
The cabinet acknowledged and approved the following request made by Office of the National Security Council:
1.Acknowledged temporary opening of border crossing point for construction of the 5th Thai?Lao Friendship Bridge located in Muang district in Bueng Kan, Thailand, and Paksan in Bolikhamxay province, Lao PDR. Once the objective is fulfilled, the border crossing point shall immediately be closed
2.Assigned Ministry of Transport to liaise with other concerned agencies to set related conditions and requirements in order to ensure no impact in all aspects
3.Concerned agencies must ensure that any implementation will not cause damage nor impact against natonal security, and all implementations must be carried out strictly in accordance with the cabinet?s resolution, dated October 12, 1999 on guidelines for road construction or any operation along border area, and the cabinet?s resolution, dated May 10, 2005 on suspension of road construction at Chong Jom permanent border crossing point in Surin province.
The cabinet acknowledged Industrial Economic Report for January 2022 and Q4/2021, and Outlook for Q1/2022, as proposed by Ministry of Industry.
Based on the report, manufacturing production index (MPI) for Q4/2021 expanded by 4.9% comparing to Q3/2021 (which contracted by 0.2%) due to the ease of the COVID-19 situation. Key industries that contributed to the expansion were refined petroleum production, electronics parts, automotive, and furniture.
Manufacturing production index (MPI) for January 2022 also expanded by 2.0% yoy due to an increase of domestic and overseas purchase power and the Government?s ease of lockdown. Key industries that contributed to the expansion were refined petroleum production, electronics parts, automotive, non-tyre rubber products, and beer.
Outlook for Q1/2022, key industries that are expected to grow continuously are electronics, paper pulp/paper/publication, cement, rubber and rubber products, and food industry.
