The cabinet approved in principle the draft Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Announcement on extension of enforcement period of Announcement of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on environmental protection areas and measures in Phetchaburi Province?s Ban Laem, Mueang Phetchaburi, Tha Yang, and Cha-Am Districts, and Prachuap Khiri Khan Province?s Hua Hin and Pranburi Districts, B.E. 2561, B.E. ...., as proposed by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Enforcement of the Announcement of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on environmental protection areas and measures in Phetchaburi Province?s Ban Laem, Mueang Phetchaburi, Tha Yang, and Cha-Am Districts, and Prachuap Khiri Khan Province?s Hua Hin and Pranburi Districts, B.E. 2561 will end on June 29, 2023. In order to continue with the enforcement, the cabinet approved in principle to extend the period of enforcement for 2 years from June 30, 2023 onward.
The cabinet acknowledged Ministry of Tourism and Sports? proposal on provinces selected as host cities of the 33rd SEA Games and 13th ASEAN Para Games, in Thailand in 2025 as follows:
Venues for the 33rd SEA Games to be held during December 9-20, 2025: Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla
Venues for the 13th ASEAN Para Games to be held during January 20-26, 2026: Nakhon Ratchasima

Based on the report, manufacturing production index (MPI) contracted by 2.7% YOY due to extraction of export sector as a result of global economic recession.
Key industries that contributed to the contraction were hard disk drive (HDD) (-35.35%), furniture (-56.55%), and plastic beads (-14.47%)
Key industries that have expanded well in February 2023 were manufacture of sugar (+23.46%), and automotive (+6.64%).
The cabinet approved in principle the draft 2023 APEC Ministerial Statement of Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting (MRT) and related documents. Should there be an amendment in parts that are not gist nor against national interest, Ministry of Commerce may proceed without having to resubmit to the cabinet. Minister of Commerce or a representative is authorized to adopt the draft statement and related documents. This is as proposed by Ministry of Commerce.
USA, as host of APEC 2023 (the 30th APEC Leaders' Summit), has scheduled an adoption of the draft 2023 APEC Ministerial Statement of Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting (MRT) and related documents without signing on May 26, 2023 during the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting (MRT) to be held in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
The draft Ministerial Statement focuses on the implementation of APEC Putrajaya Vision 2040 and the Aotearoa Plan of Action in order to propel economic growth of the Asia-Pacific region in three dimensions, namely (1) trade and investment, (2) innovation and utilization of digital, and (3) strong, balanced, stable, sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
The cabinet approved in principle for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other concerned agencies to consider, as appropriate, providing immediate humanitarian assistance to Myanmar following Cyclone Mocha.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs is of the view that Thailand provides immediate humanitarian assistance to the people of Myanmar who have been affected by Cyclone Mocha, following an official request made by Myanmar at a bilateral level, and ASEAN Foreign Ministers? Statement on the Impact of Cyclone MOCHA on Myanmar. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is considering to provide humanitarian assistance through ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre).
