The cabinet meeting on 14 October 2008 has come to the following solutions
Acknowledgement Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Core Consumer Price (CCP) in September and the averaged 9 months of the year as proposed by Ministry of Commerce
1. Consumer Price Index in August 2008 is 124.5
2. Change of Consumer Price Index in September 2008 when compared to
- August 2008 is increased by 0.2 % due to the higher price of fresh food and fruit affected by the flood in cultivated area. Besides beverage and food categories, CPI, however, is decreased by 0.8 % due to the fall of world oil price
- September 2007 is increased by 6.0% due to the high price of oil
- Averaged CPI in first 9 months (January —September) in 2007 increased by 6.5% due to the high price of oil
3. Core Consumer Price Index (which calculated 266 lists of good and service categories) based on 108 lists besides fresh food and energy. Core Consumer Price Index in September 2551 is equal to 108.5 which remains unchanged when compared to those in August 2008. However, the Core Consumer Price in September 2008 is increased by 2.6 % when compared to September 2007. The averaged Core Consumer Price for 9months from January —September 2007 is increased by 2.5 %
Approval Thailand as host of the 1st Asian Martial Art Games 2009 as proposed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport. The cabinet also agreed to establish 2 Committees which are the Coordinating Committee on the 1st Asian Martial Art Games 2009 and the Organizing Committee on the 1st Asian Martial Art Games 2009. Thailand is regarded as the competent to organize the Games. The lead time to implement the Project is from October 2008 to June 2009. The Competition will start April 2009 for 7 days.
Approval Ministry of National resources and Environment to host the 5th Meeting of the Sub-Regional Ministerial Steering Committee (MSC) on Transboundary Haze Pollution and the 6th Meeting of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Transboundary Haze Pollution ) as proposed by Ministry of National Resources and Environment. The Haze Pollution which caused by the Fire in Indonesia send an mire effect to many countries in South East Asia especially Brunei Malaysia Singapore Indonesia and the Southern Part of Thailand . The ASEAN countries therefore agree to set up the ASEAN Agreement on Haze Pollution to be the framework for coordination and cooperation for the solutions.
