The cabinet meeting on 3 February 2009 has come to the following solutions;

Approval of Ministry of Finance’s proposal on Seeking for Short term facility from domestic commercial banks and unique financial institutions not over than the amount of 200,000 million baht under the Ministry of Finance’s term and condition. Ministry of Finance has set the Pro-active debt management policy not only to keep the public debt at low cost and manageable risk but also to supply the financial resource for stimulating the economic and social development in line with the Government’s Stimulus package. In this regard, the Short term facility will be the financial mechanism for the government to manage public debt effectively and support the national liquidity.

Acknowledgement the Thailand’s Elderly People Report on 2007 as proposed by the National Committee on Elderly People. In 2007, there are 7 million people who are over 60 year old in Thailand, according to the report. However, 35.1 % of elderly people incline to continue working in advanced age. Thailand has been seen as soon to be elderly society. So, many agencies concerned join their efforts to conduct four activities; National Elderly People, Tax measures for elderly people, Role of local community in taking care of elderly people and Pension for elderly people.

Approval in principle on draft Act on City Plan around Leam Chabang Industrial estate and community, Chon Buri Province B.E.... as proposed by Ministry of Interior. The draft Act will be submitted to the Office of Council of State for further scrutinizing. This draft Act which covers many Chon Buri’s sub-districts in Sri Lacha district and Bang Lamung district is outline to develop and preserve both city and rural area. The draft Act will enable to use the best most of land asset in term of transport, public service and environment. In this regards, the Ministry of Interior also conduct the public hearing.

Approval in principle in implementing Transit Passenger Project as proposed by Ministry of Tourism and Sport. The Transit Passenger Project is aimed at generating income form transit passengers who use the Suvarnabhumi International airport and nearby airports to transit. Tourism Authority of Thailand coordinate with the Airports of Thailand and ATTA to operate the project by setting up the tourists program for the transit passengers.
