3. Information from meeting
The Sumitomo Warehouse Co., Ltd. is one of the Japan’s Major Logistics Companies. With More than 40 logistics centers located in North America, Europe, China and South East Asia and business tie-ups with more than 50 partners, the company has built an international logistics network.
In 1989, the company established Rojana Distribution Center Co., Ltd. in Ayuthaya, Thailand. The general warehouse has 12,800 m2 with 10 tractor heads, 9 forklifts and other facilities. They also has FZ Warehouse (1,950 m2) at Rojana I.P. Authaya too. Main customers are Japanese companies which has factory in Ayuthaya and area nearby such as Ashikasei, Hitachi, JVC, Oji Paper, etc. And not only the warehousing & inventory management, they also offer International Freight Forwarding, Import/Export Customs Clearance, Domestic Distribution, Packing & Merchandise Processing and Machine Installation.
4. Result of meeting:
After introduced the company to Ms. Siripan, TTC Osaka’s Director, Mr. Abe said they want to expand their business in Thailand and would like to do business with Thai Exporters too. Then, Ms. Siripan explained that Thai Government is trying to make Thailand to be a Logistics Center of the region and also introduced them to exhibit at Thailand International Logistics Fair next year.
Also, Ms. Siripan introduced APEX International Logistics Co., Ltd. which is searching for a business partner at Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong Prefecture. Mr. Abe said he will consider and inform this issue to the representative in Thailand.
