3.1. Overview of Company:

Bouavanh Textile is a quality Thai silk shop newly opened at Osaka norin kaikan building on Apr.7, 2011. Osaka norin kaikan is over 80 year-old nostalgic building and contains many art/design select shops and offices.

"Bouavanh" means "lotus flowers" in Laotian, but most of their products are using Shinawatra Thai Silk. They are importing Vila Cini products, famous Chiang Mai brand too.

Bouavanh Textile has just opened on Apr.7, 2011 but they have 25 years experience in importing handicrafts from Thailand and Laos and their first shop by the name "Wakaba House" is located in Settsu-city, northern Osaka.

Thai Silk Products (Garments, Stoles, Handbags, etc.)

3.3. Sales Channels:

Their products are mainly for fairs at famous department stores such as Takashimaya, Daimaru, etc.

4. Result of meeting:

Mr. Sasaki, managing director said that their sales were very much increased after design improvement by Mr. Sumate Phunkaew, designer of Classic Lanna Thai. He said they got to know this designer at Thai Garment Fairs in Osaka organized by DEP/TTC in 2003-2004, and expressed his thanks to TTC Osaka.

Ms. Siripan, executive director of TTC also expressed thanks to them for importing good quality Thai products for many years and said that TTC is willing to support them by introducing opportunities to participate in Thai fairs and PR on TTC website.
