- Natural Cosmetics Fair in Osaka-
According to HBR (Health & Beauty Review) magazine, world's natural and organic cosmetics sales had reached 18.6 billion USD in 2009 and expected that it will reach 33.4 billon USD in 2014. Organic cosmetics are quite popular in America and European countries, and German holds 44%, a highest share in European market. (1.German, 2.France, 3. Italy)
Natural cosmetic market in Japan also continues to increase at a healthy rate. According to HBR (Health & Beauty Review) magazine, it had reached 87.8 billon yen in 2008, 29.1% up from the previous year. It accounts for 4% of total cosmetics sales in Japan. At present, 160 natural cosmetics brands including imported brands are marketed in Japan. Japanese natural cosmetics users are mainly wealthy people and accounted for approximately 10% of total cosmetics users.
"Kirei-Kirei Fair 2011", one of the biggest natural cosmetics fairs in Kansai was held for 7 days from Apr. 6(Wed.) to 12(Tue.) at Hankyu Umeda Department Store in Osaka. At this fair, we could see 49 world's famous natural cosmetics brands such as "In Fiore"(America), "Jurlique"(Australia), "Organic Botanics"(England), etc."Panpuri ", one of the most famous brands in Thailand also participated in this fair. It was the only brand from Asian countries except Japan and attracted many visitors with its quality and beautiful packages. Panpuri has no shop in Osaka yet, but their products are available at the cosmetic section on the 3 rd floor of Hankyu Umeda Department Store.
