3. Information from meeting Kinki Electronic Parts Wholesalers Association (KEP) introduced themselves as an association with 67 members in Kansai area. They have five sister associations (i.e. Tokyo, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Fukuoka and Tohoku). Their group called Japan Federation of Electronic Parts Distributors and Dealers (JEP). Some of KEP members have already established their overseas subsidiary but majorities of members are SMEs and they only receive limited amount information. KEP wish to receive information from TTC Osaka such as trade fairs, incoming missions, and other events related to their member business so that KEP could disseminate information to members. They had also send mission to overseas. In 2008, they sent mission to Vietnam (15 persons from 13 companies), and this year, they will send mission (about 15 persons) to Hong Kong by closely working with HK Trade Development Office.
4. Result of meeting: KEP will have New Year greeting party on Jan. 23, 2012 and they are going to invite Director. KEP will be happy to receive groups from overseas mission group for information exchange. In 2013, KEP may consider sending mission to Thai or Malaysia and may also visit RHVAC Fair in 2013. TTC agreed to provide information to KEP and provide support for their mission to Thai including business matching. TTC will wait to hear from KEP about their mission in 2013.
