56 Thai Companies exhibited at FOODEX Japan 2010 which was held from March 2 ~5 at Makuhari Messe. Various kinds of products in high quality was introduced under the slogan “Kitchen of the World.” The booths who introduced new products
such as frozen mango and Thai Chocolate got a lot of attention from visitors.
Thailand Pavilion appealed lunch box which is pursuing the new possibility of Thai Cuisine to the food service industry. Mango Tree Tokyo proposed Stylish Thai Lunch Box. The lunch box has 9 dishes which could suit Japanese people’s taste. Also, Jai Thai Palace introduced SONTONG: Thai Shokado Bento. Each dishes used Japanese ingredients and Thai seasoning.
Visitors commented “The combination of Japanese ingredients and Thai flavor and seasoning was really new idea. The lunch box made both taste buds and eye contented. Thai Cuisine got out of normal ethnic cuisine.”
In the afternoon session, Thai Cocktail demonstration was made by Awamori Meister Association and Jai Thai Palace. Awamori Meister Association used Awamori which is made from Thai rice and Thai fruits, juice. Jai Thai Palace used Mekong Whiskey and Thai fruits, juice.
Thai Education Center made demonstration of Thai Green Curry and Pad Thai. Authentic Thai taste was introduced to the visitors.
