28 Mar Monday Easter Monday
5 Apr Tuesday Ching Ming Festival
2 May Monday Additional general holiday for Labour Day
16 May Monday Additional general holiday for the Buddha's Birthday
11 June Saturday Tuen Ng Festival
1 July Friday Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day
19 Sept Monday The day following Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival
1 Oct Saturday National Day
11 Oct Tuesday Chung Yeung Festival
26 Dec Monday The first weekday after Christmas Day
27 Dec Tuesday Additional general holiday for Christmas Day
As the Labour Day and the Buddha's Birthday in 2005 fall on Sunday, the days following
will be designated as the additional general holidays. Also, as the Christmas Day in 2005 falls
on a Sunday, the second weekday after Christmas Day will be designated as an additional general
holiday," said a Government spokesman.
