Thailand provides aid to the Republic of Chad to mitigate flooding crisis.

On 27 October 2010, during the 65th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Chad, to hand over a financial assistance of 1 million baht to mitigate the flooding crisis in Chad.

In July 2010, the Republic of Chad faced heavy rainfall which resulted in flooding in the north of the country, followed by flooding in the southeastern part of Chad in September. More than 150,000 people are facing scarcity and lack of basic needs with more than 70,000 people left homeless and an outbreak of epidemic decease as well.
