H.E. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, will pay an official visit to Thailand as a guest of the Royal Thai Government during 20-24 June 2012.
During her visit, the Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is scheduled to have an audience with Her Royal Higness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, and have a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, to exchange views on bilateral relations between Thailand and Vietnam on issues of mutual interests to both countries, including cooperation in political, economical, social, cultural and educational aspects.
In addition, the Vietnamese Vice President will visit Nakhon Phanom where she will visit the Thai-Vietnamese Friendship Village and meet with the Thai-Vietnamese community, as well as meet with the Governor. She will then travel to Khonkaen province to meet with the Governor and the Thai-Vietnamese community.
This visit marks the first official visit of the Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam since her assumption of her second term of vice presidency in 2011. It will be a great opportunity to further strengthen the ties and enhance close cooperation in various areas for the benefits of both countries and the region as a whole.
