Portuguese Ambassador bids farewell on occasion of his completion of mission in Thailand.

On 25 November 2010, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ant?nio F?lix Machado de Farie e Maya, Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on occasion of his completion of mission in Thailand.

Foreign Minister Kasit expressed his appreciation to Mr. Farie for his understanding of the Thai political situation and wished him all success in his future career.

Mr. Farie stated that as Thailand and Portugal will celebrate their 500th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations in the year of 2011, both countries can take this opportunity to expand their economic cooperation to a higher level. In this regard, both can exchange knowledge and technology in the field of renewable energy that Portugal has interest and expertise in. Moreover, Mr. Farie saw prospects in promoting joint ventures among business sector of both countries in manufacturing of electrical and electronics devices.

On this occasion, Foreign Minister Kasit hosted lunch in honor of Mr. Farie at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
