Angola wishes to see Thailand’s roles

On 8 December 2010, Mr. Antonio da Costa Fenandes, Ambassador of Angola to Thailand with residence in India, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Kasit Piromya, Foreign Minister of Thailand.

On this occasion, the Ambassador stated that Angola has recently joined a regional economic group and hoped to see Thailand’s leading roles in supporting bilateral cooperation between the two countries and stimulating their trades and economies. Moreover, the Ambassador expressed his wish that both sides could exchange more high-level visits to strengthen ties between Thailand and Angola.

In this regard, Foreign Minister Kasit informed the Ambassador that Thailand considers Angola as a country with economic potentials, and reaffirmed Thailand’s intention and readiness to promote economic cooperation with Angola. Furthermore, Foreign Minister Kasit extended an invitation to Angola’s Foreign Minister to pay an official visit to Thailand.
