Statement of the Royal Thai Government on the blast at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow

The Royal Thai Government has learned with shock and profound sorrow of the blast, which took place at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow on 24 January 2011, causing immediate loss of 31 lives and many injuries. In this connection, the Royal Thai Government and its people would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Government of the Russian Federation, the families of those innocent people who lost their lives as well as those who were injured, and also the Government of other states whose citizens were also affected by this act of violence.

The Royal Thai Government strongly condemns such acts of terrorism, especially as it was targeted at an international airport used by passengers from around the world. The Royal Thai Government stands ready in cooperating closely with the international community in the global fight against terrorism.
