His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Highness Princess Srirasm donates 20,000 blankets to victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan

On 16 March 2011, 09.30 hrs., at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Royal Highness Princess Srirasm graciously designated Air Marshal Pakdee Saeng-Xuto as Their Representative to present 20,000 blankets to Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, for victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. In this connection, Mr. Seiji Kojima, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand was also present at the event. The blankets are due to be flown to Japan as follows:

  • 16 March 2011 via TG 640 and TG 642 at 22.35 hrs. and 23.50 hrs. respectively
  • 17 March 2011 via TG 676 at 8.10 hrs.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Japan to Thailand expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Their Royal Highnesses for the blanket donations, which will be duly distributed to those affected. In addition, the Ambassador also expressed his sincere appreciation to the people and Government of Thailand for their generosity and assistance to the people and Government of Japan.
