On 18 March 2011, at 14.00hrs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Princess Ubol Ratana graciously designated Dr. Manus Nonuch, Policy & Plan Director of the Miracle of Life Foundation as Her Representative to hand over a 2 Million Baht cash donation and blankets to Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, for victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. In this connection, Mr. Seiji Kojima Ambassador of Japan to Thailand was also present at the event.
On this occasion, Ambassador Kojima expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Princess Ubol Ratana for the donations, which would be used to assist those who have been affected by Japan’s natural disaster. In addition, the Ambassador also expressed his sincere appreciation to the people and Government of Thailand for their generosity and assistance to the people and Government of Japan
