Argentinian Ambassador to Thailand bids farewell to Foreign Minister

On 28 March 2011, Mr. Felipe Frydman, Argentinian Ambassador to Thailand, called on Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand at the Foreign Ministry to bid farewell on the occasion of his completion of assignment in Thailand.

On this occasion, Foreign Minister Kasit thanked Ambassador Frydman for his role in enhancing Thai-Argentinian relations, in particular the organization of seminars and exchanges of visit which help create awareness among the Thai public about Argentina and the Latin American region. Both sides also exchanged views on the history of Thailand and Argentina, cooperation of both countries in international frameworks like Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEELAC), United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR), as well as future cooperation in the area of football. In this regard, Foreign Minister Kasit was of the view that it would be beneficial if Ambassador Frydman would write a book sharing his experience about Thailand in Spanish to the Argentinian public to help create interest about Thailand and the Asian region.
