On 20 June 2044, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia met with a group of malaysian press to promote the programme sponsoring 150 prostheses for Malaysian disabled. The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur will facilitate the sponsoring of 150 prostheses for the needy, under a programme held by the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H the Princess Mother from 27 September — 2 October 2011. The activity is one of the programmes held on the occasion of the Celebration on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 5th December 2011 and to enhance people to people cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia.

This service will be free of charge. The Foundation will bring 60-70 Thai specialists and volunteers, mobile clinics, resources and other tools to produce the tailor-made prostheses, which cost around 40,000 to 100,000 THB, while the United Moral Uplifting Society will support other operational expenditures.

In the past 19 years, the Foundation had sponsored more than 25,000 poor and disadvantaged people with disabilities in Thailand and abroad. This is the 6th time the programme was implemented in Malaysia.
