Thailand welcomes the announcement of the Royal Order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the establishment of the Royal Independent Investigation Commission in order to investigate the incidents occurring in Bahrain in February — March 2011.
Thailand fully supports the significant step taken by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote reconciliation and restore confidence as the country moves forward with the National Dialogue. Therefore, we are very pleased to learn of the beginning of the National Dialogue on 1 July 2011. Thailand reiterates its full support for this process and we are confident that with all these positive developments taking place, Bahrain will be able to achieve reform and reconciliation.
