In response to a media enquiry about Thailand’s view on the political development in Bahrain, Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Director- General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, stated that Thailand welcomes the successful and fruitful conclusion of the National Dialogue in Bahrain on 31 July 2011, which was a significant step forward in the national reconciliation process of Bahrain. Thailand also welcomes the commitment of the Government of Bahrain and all parties concerned to continue working together to effectively implement the recommendations of the National Dialogue.
