Thailand recognizes the National Transitional Council of Libya as the legitimate representative of Libya. During this period of transition, Thailand supports the National Transitional Council in its efforts to restore peace, security and stability as well as to promote national reconciliation, based on the rule of law, good governance and the aspiration of the Libyan people.
Thailand has long enjoyed cordial relations with Libya and the Royal Thai Government would like to reaffirm its readiness to continue to work with the Libyan people to further enhance bilateral ties in all areas of cooperation
