Ambassador of Pakistan pays courtesy call on Foreign Minister

On 9 December 2011, Mr. Sohail Mahmood, Ambassador of Pakistan to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul.

The Ambassador conveyed the congratulatory messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary and the 50th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s visit to Pakistan in 2012.

The Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador and reiterated the close ties between the two countries. With the highlighted “Look West” policy, Thailand aims to strengthen its cooperation with Pakistan in all areas.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his best wishes to Thailand on this commemorative occasion. He also expressed his appreciation for Thailand’s generosity during Pakistan’s disastrous floods this year and last year. Both countries have enjoyed enduring and cordial relationship at all levels and will continue to develop in year ahead.
