His Royal Highness Prince Andrew Albert Christian Edward, The Duke of York, KG, second heir to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, will pay a visit to Thailand as Private Guest of His Majesty the King from

The aims of the said visit are to strengthen royal ties as well as enhance trade and investment partnership between Thailand and the United Kingdom. During the visit to Thailand, His Royal Highness The Duke of York will attend a number of important functions including an audience with His Majesty The King on 29 February 2012 to present a congratulatory message from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth I on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty’s 84th Birthday Anniversary. His Royal Highness The Duke of York will also attend an audience with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on 1 March 2012 at Sra Prathum Palace, followed by a Dinner hosted by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in honour of The Duke of York.

Aside from the above, His Royal Highness The Duke of York will also meet with the Thai side to promote bilateral trade and investment relations. His Royal Highness The Duke of York will grant an audience to the Prime Minister of Thailand on 1 March 2012, followed by a Luncheon hosted by the Prime Minister in honour of The Duke of York,

On the same day, His Royal Highness the Duke of York will also grant audiences to Mr. Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Boonsong Teriyapirom, Minister of Commerce. In addition, His Royal Highness The Duke of York will also meet with leading Thai businessmen who already have investments in the United Kingdom, as well as potential investors, Thai bankers and executives and key British investors in Thailand.
