On 28 March 2008, H.E. Mr. Kittiphong na Ranong, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam, made a donation of USD 2,000 to Nguyen Dinh Chieu School for Blind Student of Hanoi to support its Braille text book project. The school badly needs new Braille text books for its 125 blind students.
In addition, The Royal Thai Embassy, in cooperation with the Chareon Pokphand Vietnam Co., Ltd., donated 1 ton of Thai rice and 10,000 fresh eggs, worth USD 2,000, to Nguyen Dinh Chieu School’s food for blind student project.
HRH Princess Sirindhorn paid a visit to Nguyen Dinh Chieu School for Blind Children of Hanoi in 1993.
