According to the National Broadcasting Television (NBT)’s news report on 16 October 2008, referring to a source which claimed that Vietnam sent a military troop to assist Cambodia in a fight against Thailand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had informed the NBT executive that the Government of Vietnam absolutely denied the report.
In this connection, the Foreign Ministry has sought the cooperation from NBT that the latter be more cautious in verifying news sources prior to using them as reference.
