The visit of Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland As Private Gust of Their Majesty the King and Queen on 7-11 November 2008

H.R.H. Princess Alexandra, the Honourable Lady Ogilvy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will be visiting Thailand between 7 — 11 November 2008 as a private guest of Their Majesties King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. Their Majesties the King and Queen have granted a royal audience to H.R.H. Princess Alexandra on 8 November 2008 at Klai Kangwol Palace, Hua Hin. On the same day, H.R.H. Princess Alexandra will be accompanied by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to the Royal Exhibition Arts of the Kingdom V at Ananda Samakhom Throne Hall, and will subsequently pay respect and lay a wreath before the late H.R.H. Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra at Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall.

During H.R.H. Princess Alexandra’s stay in Thailand, She will travel to Chiang Mai Province between 9 — 11 November 2008 to visit Ubosot Ngern (Silver Ubosot) at Wat Srisuphan, the Doi Intanon Royal Project, Baan Tawai, the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, and Mae Sa Elephant Camp.

H.R.H. Princess Alexandra is Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin as She is the daughter of King George VI’s younger brother. H.R.H. Princess Alexandra is fond of Thailand and has close ties with the Thai Royal Family. H.R.H. Princess Alexandra visited Thailand for the first time in 1959, and this forthcoming visit will be Her seventh visit.
