The Royal Thai Government has been following with grave concern the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip which has claimed hundreds of innocent lives and left thousands injured. The Royal Thai Government is deeply saddened by the ongoing violence and would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the people of Palestine and the bereaved families of the victims.
For humanitarian reasons and in response to the call by the UN and the international community for urgent humanitarian assistance, the Royal Thai Government has decided to provide an immediate financial contribution worth of USD 28,000 to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to address the emergency needs of the people affected by the conflict in Gaza. The contribution also represents the goodwill of the people of Thailand towards the people of Palestine in time of needs.
