Media Accreditation for the 14th ASEAN Summit

The deadline of online registration for the 14th ASEAN Summit has passed since 15 February 2009. The 14th ASEAN Summit Media Secretariat thanks all media members for their interests in covering and being part of the 14th ASEAN Summit and would like to inform as followings:

Collection of the 14th ASEAN Summit Media Pass

  • An individual media member who registered online and has received Accreditation Letter with Media ID No. can collect Media Pass in person at the Information Counter in the Media Centre during 08.00-22.00 hrs on 25-27 February 2009. The Media Centre is located at the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, 1573 Petchkasem Road, Cha-am, Petchburi.
  • The media member is required to present Accreditation Letter together with his/her national ID card (Thai national) or passport (foreign nationals) for collection of his/her Media Pass.

For Media Members interested for accreditation but not yet registered for accreditation

  • An individual media member can register in person at the Information Counter in the Media Centre during 08.00-22.00 hrs on 25-27 February 2009.
  • The media member needs to submit the following documents for accreditation:

1. Duly completed registration form The registration form can be downloaded at http://www.14thaseansummit.org/pdf/Media_Reg_Form_ONSITE.pdf

2. Letter of Assignment (NOT A COPY) The letter should be addressed to the

“The 14th ASEAN Summit Media Secretariat”, indicating the name(s) and position(s) of the media member(s) assigned to cover the 14th ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings. The letter needs to be undersigned by the chief of operation.

3. Valid ID card of affiliation (ORIGINAL WITH A COPY) An ID card issued by an organisation you work for and must be valid until 1 March 2009, the end of the 14th ASEAN Summit. Local media or foreign media members based in Thailand can use a valid Press Card issued by the Department of Public Relations of Thailand as a substitute.

  • Onsite media accreditation takes at least 6 hours for document verification before accreditation can be granted. No exception will be made for lack of any required document(s).
