Documents to be Signed or Adopted during the 14th ASEAN Summit

During the 14th ASEAN Summit, Heads of State/ Heads of Governments, Foreign Ministers and Economic Ministers of the ten Southeast Asian countries are expected to sign or adopt a total of 23 ASEAN related documents. The list is as follows:

2. Documents to be Adopted/Issued by ASEAN Leaders (5 Documents)

3) 2nd Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Work Plan (2009-2015)

4) Joint Declaration on the Attainment of the Millennium Development Goals in ASEAN

5) Statement on Food Security in the ASEAN Region

3. Documents to be Signed by ASEAN Foreign Ministers (1 Document)

1) ASEAN Petroleum Security Agreement

4. Documents to be Adopted by ASEAN Foreign Ministers (2 Documents)

1) Draft Terms of Reference of an ASEAN Human Rights Body

2) Recommendations of the High Level Legal Experts’ Group on Follow-Up to the ASEAN Charter

5. Documents to be Signed by ASEAN Economic Ministers (8 Documents)

1) ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA)

2) ASEAN Comprehensive Investment Agreement (ACIA)

3) Protocol to Implement the 7th Package of Commitments under ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services (AFAS)

4) Memorandum of Understanding between Thailand and Indonesia on Sugar under the Protocol to Provide Consideration for Rice and Sugar

5) Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Good Manufacturing Practice of Medicinal Products (*)

6) ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Medical Practitioners

7) ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Dental Practitioners

8) ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement Framework on Accountancy Services

6. Documents to be Signed by ASEAN Economic Ministers with Dialogue Partners (7 Documents)

1) Agreement Establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area

2) Understanding on Article 1 (Reduction and/or Elimination of Customs Duties) of Chapter 2 (Trade in Goods) of the AANZFTA

3) Implementing Arrangement for the AANZFTA Economic Co-operation Work Programme Pursuant to Chapter 12 (Economic Co-operation) of the AANZFTA

4) Protocol on the Accession of the Kingdom of Thailand among the Parties to the Agreement on Trade in Goods under the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation between ASEAN and Korea

5) Letter of Understanding for the Amendment of the Product Specific Rules set out in Appendix 2 of Annex 3 of the Agreement on Trade in Goods under the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation among the Governments of the Member Countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Republic of Korea
