Director-General of the International Organization for Migration pays a courtesy call on Foreign Minister.

On 4 March 2009, Mr. William Lacy Swing, Director-General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), paid a courtesy call on Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides exchanged views on the migration and resettlement issues. On this occasion, Director-General of the IOM expressed his appreciation for Thailand’s cooperation and assistance in facilitating the IOM works along the Thai-Myanmar border at Tak and Mae Hong Son Provinces.

Foreign Minister Kasit reiterated the Royal Thai Government’s willingness to facilitate the work of international organizations in Thailand and wished that the close cooperation between Thailand and the IOM would continue.
