On 13 May 2009, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held bilateral talks with Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Laotian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister is accompanying H.E. Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, President of the Lao P. D. R. and his wife, on a State Visit to Thailand from 12 to 14 May 2009, as guests of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand.
After the meeting, both ministers signed the Joint Commission (JC) Agreement between Thailand and Lao P. D. R. and witnessed the signing ceremony of other mutual of understanding agreements between the two countries, at Vithes Samosorn Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
