On 9 June 2009, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a working luncheon for Thailand Campaign to Ban Landmines (TCBL), an umbrella organization of 12 non-governmental organizations, which has played an active and significant role in anti-landmine activities since 1997. Both sides exchanged views on demining operations, particularly along the Thai-Cambodian border. They also discussed the progress of Thailand’s mine actions including victim assistance as well as cooperation between the government and NGOs on the matter.
