FM hosts reception to introduce new Thai Trade Representatives

On 23 June 2009, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over a reception at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to introduce the President and Trade Representatives of the Office of the Thai Trade Representative (TTR). In attendance were the Bangkok-based diplomatic corps and over 200 guests from the government and private sectors.

Foreign Minister Kasit introduced Mr. Kiat Sittheeamorn as the President of the TTR, and Dr. Suthad Setboonsarng and Dr. Vachara Phanchet as Thai Trade Representatives appointed by the Royal Thai Government. The Foreign Minister praised them as well-suited and capable individuals who would enhance coherence and efficiency in the promotion of government policies and strategies on international trade and investment.

The President of the TTR thanked the Foreign Minister for hosting the reception and said that he planned to apply his experience in international trade and investment to enhance trade cooperation with the Kingdom’s trade partners.
