Foreign Ministry supports soldiers wounded and killed in Phra Viharn area

On 29 June 2009, Mr. Norachit Sinhaseni, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations, on behalf of the Foreign Ministry, presented a contribution of 314,172 baht, in cash and kind, to General Viroj Buajaroon, Assistant to the Royal Thai Army Commander-in-Chief, who accepted on behalf of the Royal Thai Army.

The contribution was in support of Thai soldiers wounded in the line of duty and the families of soldiers killed on duty along the Thai-Cambodian border around the Phra Viharn area.

The contribution came from the Foreign Minister, Ministry officials and Thai citizens at home and abroad in recognition of the soldiers’ sacrifice, and will be delivered by the Army to its intended recipients. The ceremony was performed at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters.
